Awakening Through Grief: What I Learned From Rafael Garcia’s Return to Grief 2 Growth

I’ve had hundreds of conversations on this podcast — with healers, experiencers, scientists, and seekers — but every once in a while, a guest comes back and the second conversation hits even harder than the first.
That’s what happened when Rafael Garcia returned to Grief 2 Growth.
Rafael’s story has always been compelling. A near-death experience cracked him open, and he came back with knowledge that most of us spend lifetimes chasing — wisdom from the Akashic Records, visions of parallel lives, and downloads from higher-dimensional beings.
But in this follow-up conversation, something deeper emerged. A theme that I think resonates not just with the spiritually curious, but especially with those of us who are grieving:
Spiritual awakening often begins through grief.
Grief Isn’t the End — It’s the Beginning
I started Grief 2 Growth because I had to find meaning in my own unimaginable loss. I’ve seen firsthand how pain can either shut you down or open you up.
When Rafael talked about humanity undergoing a collective awakening, I immediately thought: This is what grief feels like.
- You lose what you thought was secure
- The world stops making sense
- Everything is stripped away — and you’re forced to look within
It’s terrifying. It’s lonely. But it’s also the starting point of transformation.
My Take on “The New Human”
One of the most fascinating parts of our conversation was Rafael’s idea of a “New Human.”
He described it as a being with activated DNA, heightened awareness, and the ability to hold love over fear — even in the midst of global chaos.
That might sound out there. But here’s the truth:
- When we grieve, we soften.
- When we suffer, we wake up.
- When we lose everything, we become willing to receive everything.
Maybe becoming the “New Human” isn’t about glowing auras or supernatural powers. Maybe it’s about showing up in love when everything hurts.
That’s a kind of power, too.
Parallel Lives & the Multidimensional Soul
Rafael shared how his near-death experience revealed he was living other lives — at the same time as this one. That hit me.
I’ve spent years exploring consciousness. I believe we are much more than these bodies. But hearing him talk about simultaneous incarnations made me wonder:
What if the version of you grieving… is also the version of you growing?
What if, in another timeline, you’ve already found healing — and that version of you is trying to whisper guidance across the veil?
Maybe “awakening through grief” means learning to listen to those whispers.
The Chaos Is Not the End — It’s the Shift
There’s a lot of fear in the world right now.
People are talking about collapse, war, climate crisis, and economic uncertainty. And understandably, grief is rising.
But Rafael offered a perspective I needed to hear — and maybe you do too:
“It’s not the end of the world. It’s the end of the world as we knew it. And that’s a good thing.”
He calls it the 3D game — the old paradigm of scarcity, fear, and separation. And while it’s uncomfortable watching that crumble, I see it now as necessary.
Because something new wants to be born.
What This Means for You (and Me)
If you’re reading this, you might be:
- grieving someone you love
- questioning your reality
- feeling lost in a world that no longer makes sense
Let me tell you — I’ve been there. And I want to remind you:
You’re not broken.
You’re not behind.
You’re awakening.
Grief isn’t the end of your story. It’s the portal into a much bigger one.
I see that more clearly than ever after this conversation with Rafael. And I’m honored to be walking this path with you.
Final Thoughts
This episode reminded me of why I do this work. Not to provide answers — but to open doors. To invite curiosity. To offer companionship in the in-between.
Rafael calls people like us “frequency holders” — the ones who came here to embody light during dark times.
If you’re reading this and it resonates… that might be you.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for continuing — even when it hurts.
You’re not alone.
We are grieving.
We are growing.
We are awakening — together.
🙏
Brian
