Today a Facebook friend checked in at a Chick-Fil-A. Michelle is a friend of an internet friend I have never met face-to-face, but Michelle and I didn’t meet through him. Michelle friended one of his friends who I friended and we met through that guy. At the time I have no idea Michelle had lost a child and it wouldn’t have meant anything to me at that time anyway. After Shayna passed, Michelle reached out to me and indicated she helped people with the loss of children and she was considering making it more formal. We decided to start a Facebook group which is just getting off of the ground. She has been one of the many angels (messengers from God) that he has put in my path.
To the point of the story, Michelle was traveling from Michigan to Texas where she is moving back “home”. When I popped on Facebook yesterday afternoon while Ty was showering and we were getting ready to go out to get some food, I saw she checked in in Dayton. Wow. Dayton is only 40 minutes from me. I just made a comment about that and she said she was on her way to Kentucky her layover for the night. I told her to wave as she drove by because she was going to be five minutes from my house. I can see the cars on I-75 from my deck at night. Long story short, she stopped by, we got to share a hug, she got to meet Ty and we were able to meet face-to-face.
