So the only words I can say are WOW! It’s been quite some time since I’ve read something holding my breath at each word! I’m not given to hyperbole, but I have to say the words in this story ring so true for me, I could have written it from my lived experience! Anyone who has lost the Love of their life will not only relate but believe you are telling their story.
For me, the truth was not only in the similarities between Tony and Andi’s relationship with my own, with my second marriage, really bad first marriage, not believing that love would ever find them again.
The story is well told without an excess of words. It’s just enough to frame the content but leave room for someone to fill in the blanks with their lived experience. For those who have not suffered through this, there’s enough to imagine what it could feel like.
